2023 Player Sign Up and Jersey Orders

We are sorry but the registration period has ended. We will open registration for 1 day only next Sunday March 5th for anyone that missed this initial sign-up. 

T-Ball

Boys and Girls current Pre-K – 1st Grade – starts in early June – ends in mid July.

One to two nights a week (Days/Times at coaches discretion)

LCYBA has created a program for Tee Ball-age players (ages Pre-K – 1st Grade); and their parents or guardians, that is specifically designed to provide a foundation and introduction to baseball and softball that is grounded in fundamentals, fitness, and having fun. The Tee Ball program will be a 6-week plan and resource that features structured learning, highlighted by one to two practices per week and two play dates against a surrounding community (TBD) as well as a potential tournament. Over the course of the season, coaches and parents will engage in a series of lessons utilizing up to 40 activities that include skills, drills, and plenty of physical activity.

Baseball

Boys ages 7-15 – starts in mid-late May – ends in mid-late July.

Most teams participate in The Zumbro Valley League which is based out of South Eastern Minnesota and features multiple age divisions. The league consists of 20+ associations and is broken out into regional divisions of 6-8 teams per division. Teams will play 12-14 game regular season schedule and a double-elimination post-season tournament.

We also are a member of the Metro Baseball League and participate at some ages depending upon skill level of the group. The league consists of 50+ associations and is broken out into regional divisions of 9-12 teams per division. Teams will play a 16 game regular season schedule and a single-elimination post-season tournament, as well as the August classic.

You can expect to have at least one game night per week, at least one practice night per week, but may be more than that when the season is in full swing. Each coach will get their schedule planned and communicated as soon as they have it. Coaches try to remain consistent each week with what nights are scheduled but may have to deviate based upon field availability and weather.

8U: This is for 7 and 8 year olds, This group will play in the Winona County League. It is an instructional program with the emphasis on baseball fundamentals and participation. There is no pitching, players will hit off a pitching machine. Game nights consist of one 4-5 inning game. (8-12 dates) – May play in up to 2 tournaments.

9U: Typically plays in the ZVBL with live pitching and play the full game of baseball, minus stealing. Game nights consist of two 5 inning games. (6-8 dates) – Plays in WSD Tourney, ZVL Tourney and up to 1 more.

10U: Typically plays in the ZVBL with stealing bases, however no leading off. Game nights consist of two 5 inning games. (6-8 dates) – Plays in WSD Tourney, ZVL Tourney and up to 1 more.

11u: This group will play in the MBL in 2020. Game nights consist of one or two 6 inning games. (8-12 dates) – Plays in WSD Tourney, MBL Tourney and Farmington Tourney.

12u: Typically plays in the ZVBL and play on 75 foot bases. Game nights consist of two 5 inning games. (6-8 dates) – Plays in WSD Tourney, ZVL Tourney and up to 1 more.

13u: Typically plays in the MBL or ZVBL and play on 75 foot bases. Game nights consist of one or two 6 inning games. (8-12 dates) – Plays in up to 2 tourneys.

15u: Plays in the MBL or ZVBL and play varsity level baseball. Game nights consist of one or two 6 inning games. (8-12 dates) – Plays in up to 2 tourneys.

Fastpitch Softball

Girls ages 8-18 – starts in early June – ends in mid July.

8U: This is a league that meets twice a week (Tuesday/Thursday) beginning the first week of June, however teams may begin practicing earlier. No practices or games the week of July 4th. It is an instructional league with the emphasis on softball fundamentals and participation. The league may use a pitching machine and “T”. Live pitching will be encouraged and introduced.

10U: This is a SE (local) Minnesota league that meets twice a week beginning the first week of June, however teams may begin practicing earlier. 10U teams will have the opportunity to travel and play against neighboring teams. It is an instructional league with the emphasis on softball fundamentals and participation. The league will be played on Mondays/Wednesdays. (8-10 dates)

12U: This is a SE (local) Minnesota traveling league, which plays games twice a week (Tuesday/Thursday) and starts the first week of June. (8-10 dates)

14U: This traveling league, plays games twice a week (Monday/Wednesday). As age increases, so does the competition, so you will get your chance to try your skills against some better softball players. In addition to tournaments, you may also get a chance to play in a state tournament. (8-10 dates)

High School 16/18U: This is a traveling league. Most of the players in these age brackets are people you have played with or against in the high school softball leagues. Tournaments vary, and will be arranged by your coach and if you qualify you may have the opportunity to play in a state tournament. (8-10 dates)
